This is from a recent(ish) order I made with E.L.F.
Now I love E.L.F firstly (most of) the products are amazing I have never really had any bother with them - apart from some of the nail varnishes. The brushes are great, good quality and soo cheap! And in my experiences with ordering with them I have never had any bother with delivery.

Here is what I bought...

I bought the Mineral 4 piece bamboo brush set which is £15 but I had mine for £12 with the 20% off code a while ago.

First thought "WOW THESE ARE SO SOFT" I thought the studio brushes were soft but these are something else. All I did for a while was brush the mini kabuki brush over my face. It is rather mini though but suits what I use it for (mineral foundation). Would recommend these brushes to anyone and they come with a travel case.

I also bought the Lip defining brush as we all know it is only £1.50, does the job :) so I am pleased.

Mineral Makeup

Mineral foundation  in light and Mineral concealer in light both £3.50. I wasn't sure if I would get on with these but I am actually surprised at the coverage you can get with these. For times when I just want a basic coverage I reach for this but when I need more coverage I put this over my liquid foundation as a setting powder. Same goes for the concealer. These are a great buy for the money.

Not really sure what to do with the blemish kit. I have watched numerous youtube videos and so far can gather its a setting powder that fights spots? Anyone have any light they can shed on this?

Mineral lipstick in Ripe Rose which goes on a little darker on the lips and is rather long lasting, will be in my makeup bag for a long time. I also bought natural nymph but there is sooo many swatches out there already. I'm not 100% on how I will wear it yet as it is rather light! Both were £3.50.

I wanted a lipliner for ages and this one in peachy took my fancy. It is such a lovely peachy (haha) colour which looks slighty more orange than the photo shows. It is such a nice colour I tend to wear it as a lipstick with some vaseline over the top. £3.

As I said before I think I had a 20% code for all of these as I never order things full price anymore.

All in all I LOVE E.L.F and hopefully will always love them :)

Boots "haul"...

Monday, 21 February 2011

There are so many 3 for 2 offers on, or 3 for £5 from certain ranges I was in heaven when I "popped" in yesterday.

Here is what I got...

No7 - 3 for 2

Hot Cloth Cleanser - £9 (free with offer)
I've seen this one and the Liz Earl one a lot on the blogs I read and being as this was in the offer I thought I would try it. Have used it just now and after its first use I am feeling pretty good about it so we will see how my skin is after a couple of weeks.

Colour Calmer Primer - £11
I tend to get very red cheeks (I sometimes resemble a tomato. Its not good.) and my friend who is a MUA recommended I use a green primer to balance the redness. She recommended this one and oh look its on a 3 for 2 offer ;)

LE Lipstick - Bridgette - £10
So I then had a free product to pick and after toying with the idea of a mineral blush the spring goody stand caught my eyes..there was only two left of these so after trying the tester the lipstick was very quickly in my basket.

17 - 3 for 2

Mirror Shine Lipstick - Beehive - £4.59
I have a new love for lipsticks and really fancied this colour after seeing a lot of good things about it. Its very creamy and light but buildable nude colour.

Strengthening Base Coat - £3.99 (free with offer)
Needed a new base coat and heard good things, there was an offer on so I bought it. Simples.

Mirror Shine Lipstick - Belle - £4.59
A more pinky version of beehive. Couldn't resist.

Botanics - 3 for 2

Eyemakeup Remover (x2) - £3.05 - one free with offer
I love this eyemakeup remover and won't be buying a different one ever. It removes the most stubborn eyemakeup but is so gentle. I stocked up on the offer so now have a backup after using up my first bottle of it.

Body Balm - £3.17
Currently using vaseline moisture locking body lotion and I love it, but it wasn't on offer...so picked this one up to try as I have almost run out of the vaseline.

Natural Collection - 3 products for £5

Waterguard Mascara - £1.99 individually
I always keep a waterproof mascara around, even if it is not the most expensive, as this is less than £2 I thought I would give it a whirl. Wearing a waterproof mascara everyday annoys me a little as I have about 7 mascaras on the go for different types of eyelash looks. This has had some good reviews so hopefully I will think the same.

Blush - Pink cloud - £1.99 individually
I always tend to head for bronzer but want to start using blush a bit more. Since I won one as part of a massive competition win from peacocks that looks like the benefit blushers I have wanted to expand my collection and for the price of these I can gradually start my collection without breaking the bank.

Lipstick - Rose Petal - £1.99 individually
This little gem caught my eye as I was looking for my 3rd item, its a nice peachy shimmery colour so *poof* was in my basket.

And the good old trusty nail varnish remover. I get so bored with my nail colours that I use bottle of this like there is no tomorrow - £1.03

I will swatch and review products as I use them and then post them up. Have any of you used them before?

As I seem to be loving lipsticks at the moment does anyone have any favourite lipsticks they would care to share? Would love to have a nose at them!

Hope everyone is well...

Models own haulage...

Lots of goodies

FROM L-R: Coral Reef, Vintage Pink, Bubblegum, Tangerine Queen, Lime Light, Top Turquoise, Feeling Blue, Betty Blue, 25 Carrat Gold, Snow White.

I have never owned a models own nail varnish and after reading great reviews I went all out and now I have ten. And a Coral lipstick (will swatch in another post).
There was a discount code floating around and after the automatic discounts form the models own website the total price was half what it should have been.

Here they are on the nail: (I kept this on for two days because I couldn't decide what colour I wanted)

Thumb - Little Finger: 25 Carrat Gold, Vintage Pink, Tangerine Queen, Top Turquoise, Betty Blue.

Little Finger to Thumb: Snow White, Feeling Blue, Limelight, Coral Reef, Bubblegum.

These were after ONE coat and no topcoat because I was in a rush.

Some of the colours are not true to what they look like IRL. Bubblegum is almost neon for example. The blue also look the same, but top turquoise is more green IRL.

Anyone have any favourite Models Own colours?

In other news youtube has provided my with company whilst I work in my dissertation in the form of THE ORIGINAL DISNEY FILMS. I have watched Cinderella (and have concluded that my next hamster will be called GusGus) and now I am watching Aristocats and want a cat..after never being a "cat person".

Middle nail left without matte top coat to show the true colour and shine of the red for the photo.
