Make Up With Confidence in Mind!

By: Jackie Clark from the  Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance

Looking the way that you want to look can have a huge impact on the way that you feel, even if you have been diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer and undergoing treatment for mesothelioma. However, the truth of the matter is no one is born with a flawless completion. Even movie stars and models have acne, bad skin or other blemishes. This is where makeup comes in, and if you have always wanted to have a face that looks like a movie star’s, makeup can empower you in an enormous way.

First, think about the fact that powder and foundation is intended to give you that flawless complexion that people always talk about. One of the feminine ideals of beauty is to have smooth skin, but think about how unfair that is when different people have different skin needs! Powder and foundation are the great equalizers. Now your skin can be as smooth as a model’s despite exhaustion from treatment with dark circles under eyes or blotchy skin. While we should never lose sight of the fact that natural skin without makeup is also beautiful. It is important to remember that we have some truly impressive tools at our disposal.

When you love the idea of putting on your makeup from an empowered viewpoint, remember that you should choose the colors that you love. What kind of makeup makes you feel strong and bold? For some women, it’s always having the perfect red lipstick. For other women, it’s giving their eyes a smoky loveliness not found in nature. The important thing is to use makeup in a way that makes you feel as though you can handle anything. Having the face that you want is a great way to feel good about yourself.

Whether you are a makeup guru or you have always wanted to be, there has never been a better time to get started with makeup. There are plenty of fantastic shades out there for you to experiment with, but there are some tips that you can use to make a huge difference to your style. Pick makeup that is going to make you glow. If you have warm tones in your skin, consider makeup shades in gold and oranges. If you have cooler skin, use a dusting of silver or cool blues and greens to give you the color you want. Take a moment to think about how you can use your makeup as a way to wear your favorite colors. This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about yourself.

When you love the idea of moving forward towards a face that you love, consider what makeup can do for you. You may be surprised at the difference it can make and at the way it can improve your mood! Take control over the side effects of cancer treatment and be the beautiful woman you are. Let your red lips say I will not allow cancer to define who I am!

* I posted this as I know so many people who have had or still have cancer.
