Walking into the new The White Company store in Cardiff last Wednesday I had no idea what to expect. I had never heard of the company before getting the invite to the launch night. Stepping inside my eyes were drawn straight to the clothes (surprise.) and I immediately wanted to restock my wardrobe. The whites, nudes and mushroom colours were just beautiful and with such simple pieces you could easily create a capsule wardrobe. Something I am trying to convince myself to do. The only downside is that it's pricer than what I am used to, but with the quality over quantity in mind it's not that pricey. I also fell in love with a scarf.
When I finally pulled myself away from the clothes area of the store I entered the homeware. Another section of shops that I have a renewed interest in since started to "homify" the flat. And yes that is a proper word. Everything from The White Company is so beautifully simple and I wanted it all, especially the little jars with wooden lids. The candles are scented perfectly and are all hand poured which is I guess is represented in the price. I could have easily put them all in my basket but I resisted. One item that really caught my eye was the furry bean bag, we've just got massive bean bags in work and I now want one for the flat.
Broodiness oozed over me whilst wandering through the childrens clothing section. The selection of baby clothes is just beautiful, when I have children this is how they will be dressed. The elephant jumper even I would wear, if only they did it in the adults sizes.
Have you been into The White Company?
