One of my very unofficial new years resolutions was to wear more colour in terms of makeup. More specifically eye makeup. You see, with lipstick and nail varnish I don't have a problem going "out there", the brighter the better and that's something I'm known for with my lipstick.

When I was having a makeup clear out a few months ago I binned all coloured eyeliner I owned with the vow never to use them and regretted it. When giving the chance to try out the Smudgeproof eyeliners from Lord & Berry* I started imagining myself with all sorts of colourful eyeliners. Sweeps of the blue on my lower lash line and the rest.

However, when I got them I was drawn back into my comfort zone of the nudes, browns and grey colour. These colours are just too beautiful to make me want to leave the comfort of them and I've really enjoyed wearing eyeliner again - mainly because these really do not budge!! Long gone are the days where I have to keep checking in the mirror for the dreaded panda eyes.

The only downside is you have to sharpen them, and a couple of them arrived with not a lot of product visible at the top, if that makes sense? I much prefer the twist up eyeliners - less hassle. How lazy.

Have you used the Lord & Berry Smudgeproof Eyeliners before? There are available in Boots & Asos and are £7.50.

Any tips for getting me to wear coloured eyeliner?

  1. I love wearing eyeliner and I'm trying to be a little more adventurous with the colours. These Lord & Berry ones look really nice & I like that they're smudge proof. I think there is a Lord & Berry stand in my local NEXT, I will be checking them out

  2. I love eyeliner as a way of injecting a bit of colour into a makeup look...much less scary than shadow in my opinion...to much can go wrong there! These sound great :)
