Boots Haul

Wednesday, 11 March 2015
I don't think there is any chance I will ever go into boots and just come out with what I went in for. The temptation is just too much. Although the majority of this haul is actually what was on my shopping list - progress.
First things first is the make up aisles, these are the first aisles in my local boots and I naturally make a bee-line for them. I needed to get a new full coverage foundation as I have gone through my Mac Studio Sculpt foundation far too quickly and considering the price of it, I need to find a cheaper one. Most of the makeup brands were on offer so I felt even better - a marketers dream. I was drawn to this new release by Loreal an Infallible 24 hour Matte foundation, on offer at the time for just £6.99. Despite the obvious similarity in the packaging this isn't a bad dupe. I've been really enjoying using this and it lasts all day, keeping most of my redness hidden, I'm impressed.

The other item on my shopping list was a new mascara. In my last YouTube video I posted (a haul!) I bought a new mascara but already that has dried out to the point that its difficult to work with. As Loreal was on a 3for2 I picked up the False Lase Telescopic mascara in black. I've heard good things about this mascara and I am so impressed. My lashes are fairly long and curled already so most mascaras do a decent job, but this mascara is something else.

As mentioned, with a 3for2 on the cards I wasn't leaving without a third item. I don't need anymore "colour" products like nail polish, lipstick or gloss so I went with a decent staple of a concealer. I've always wanted to try the Loreal Lumi Magique concealer as there has been a fair amount of hype around this product but never felt like I needed to purchase it. I haven't used it yet, but hoping that it will banish my dark circles.

I've recently been regularly going to get waxed, as in I have completely ditched the razors and I haven't looked back. There has been one problem though, ingrown hairs have been a little issue so I have plucked up the courage (haha) to purchase a very expensive pair of ingrown tweezers by Tweezermen. They are extremely sharp but awesome and make light work of ingrown hairs.

Last week I finally gave in and admitted I needed a hair cut and not just a trim. I've had a good couple of inches off the ends and I now feel like I have a bob - I don't and I'm being dramatic but that's what it feels like. Anywho, this called for some new weapons in my hair box. I've decided my hair looks better waved and curled so picked up some texture spray to help hold the curls and give volume, dry shampoo - because I got through cans and cans of the stuff and hairspray to hold everything in place. The VO5 stand was all two for £5 and the Pantene dry shampoo was on offer for only £1.99.
And finally, hair bobbles.

  1. You've got great products dear..

  2. 3 for 2 is the downfall of many a young woman, including myself.

Also, I feel your pain....I had my hair cut yesterday (probably only an inch) and I feel like it's all gone!!
