Chemist Direct recently got in touch and a whole other website of cosmetics and toiletries is now one of my first places to look for a splurge. They even do prescriptions which I am now looking into as you can guarantee I always leave it to the last tablet before I realise I have to get my repeat in.
First point of call was the makeup, well I lie, I did check out the pets products first. But anyway, back to the makeup. I picked up two lip products the Max Factor Lipstick in Bloomy and the Loreal Colour Riche in Crazy Fuschia which were both heavily discounted on the price that you would pay in other stores. Both colours are great, bright colours that are typically "Charli" and I'll be posting reviews up as soon as I can.
Secondly I headed over to the nail polish and picked up possibly the best nail colour combination ever, the OPI Muppets Most Wanted - Gaining Mole-mentum and China Glaze - Pool Party (which is my first ever China Glaze nail polish. I've worn these SO much since the order arrived but they seem to chip really badly. I'm currently working out if it's my base/top coat that's causing this. Apart from that, they are amazing.
Whilst it would have been lovely to have ordered a whole load of makeup, I decided to be sensible and look at the range of deodorants. I've used Driclor before and was pleased to see a twin pack on offer. The only downside is that they don't have the roll on part, so application is a little messy. On the complete opposite side to the deodorant spectrum is the Perspi Guard Rock Deodorant a 100% natural rock deodorant. I have always been intrigued by these as I have always used such harsh deodorants for fear of sweat patches... I'm not on my own here am I?... I've not been brave enough to use this but I am going to try it this weekend whilst I am dog walking, I think that's a pretty good test.
Boringly Matt and I needed new toothbrushes and this pack of three were perfect for what I needed. I even have a spare on to brush the hamster with. When deciding what toothbrushes to buy (exciting, I know) I suddenly had a brainwave of wondering whether Chemist Direct sold anything to do with tooth whitening, they did and I ended up adding the Janina Maxiwhite Ultra White Strips 7 Day System to my basket. After using strips with bleach in them and having a shooting pain in my tooth, these took my fancy because they say they don't contain bleach. I've used them for a few days and I can see a slight different so time will tell.
Finally, I've just had a decent hair trim, about 2 inches has been cut off the ends and at the moment I am more comfortable when my hair is curled. Being as the Carmen Copper Curling Wand and the Wahl 19mm Curling Tong we such bargains at less than £8 each I picked them both up to give them a whirl.. or twirl.
I can't wait to get my paws into all these and get some reviews up over the next couple of weeks.
Have a look on Chemist Direct, there are some real gems on there.
*A voucher was provided for part of the total of this purchase, I put some of my own money towards the final balance
