I haven't bought makeup in a really long time, a really long time. The last time I bought a new makeup item was back in July and that was only a BB cream and a lipgloss. I'd started to run low on foundations, something which I am pretty proud of because I'm really bad at purchases new foundations when I really don't need them. I'd also used up my Sleek Contour kit and had been eyeing up the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit since I'd seen a girl using it in the ladies loos in work - true story!!
I've never shopped on Beauty Bay before and only really headed there this time because it stocks the contour kit that I wanted. I didn't really want to pick up more than that, but when I saw that the site had its own range (and pretty much all items were £2.50) I decided to pop a few things in my basket.
The foundation and concealer - in guessed colours! - were the first things I picked up. With the thinking that even if I didn't like them that much then I could cover the results with the contour kit - or just use them for dog walking days. Yep, I like to wear makeup to the dogs home, probably because you never know when you will end up in a photo with a dog - ha!
My beauty blender is getting almost unusable now, and that is rather annoying because you can always count on a beauty blender to apply makeup perfectly. Beauty Bay had their own version for, you guessed it, £2.50 so I picked up a yellow and black one. I haven't used these yet, but I am really hoping for good things.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh the reason for my shopping trip to Beauty Bay, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit - in Light to Medium. Let me explain my trip to the ladies loos that made me want this... I've completely missed the hype online about this palette, didn't have a clue about it at all. Then one day I was washing my hands and the girl next to me was contouring in the most mesmerising way. The palette she was holding just looked beautiful and so did her makeup - this is sounding a little stalkerish. Anyway, I asked her what the product was then when I got home I googled it and suddenly there was a billion posts and videos about it.
As part of my order for spending over a certain amount you can choose a free item, annoyingly one was the foundation (thinking about it I should have ordered something else and had the foundation as my freebie!) and others were nail polishes that I wouldn't wear, I decided to choose the lip brush. I wear lots of bold colour lipsticks and a lot of the time I am cursing that the line isn't crisp enough so this should solve that - if I'm not too lazy to use it.
I'm a huge fan of the Tangle Teaser but I'm not a fan of the price tag. This again was only £2.50 and I bought it with my holiday and gym bag in mind. I'm going to Greece at the beginning of October and I'll be taking this with me, it's not as soft as my Tangle Teaser but for £2.50 it does a damn good job.
