Autumn Boots Wishlist...
"Honey I'm home!!" We arrived back in the UK very early yesterday morning, 6:30am, snuggled down to a McDonald's breakfast and got in about three hours sleep before I went to start picking up my animals from the various friends who looked after them.
This post was supposed to go live whilst I was in Greece, but blogger (cheers!) didn't post. Excellent. The weather is so cold and I am craving some new winter boots. All I've worn since last Autumn is a pair of brown suede boots from New Look and I even bought a backup pair - pretty unheard of for me.
The first pair that has caught my eye recently is this pair from Dorothy Perkins. It's no surprise that a light tan suede boot takes my eye in any online shop because I love that you can wear this colour with pretty much any outfit. My favourite way to wear boots like this is with midi skirts at the moment and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
After seeing how quickly my suede boots deteriorated in the last year, I decided to branch out and have a look at some Leather Ankle Boots and found these ones from Jones Bootmaker. These would last a lot longer than my suede ones and I'm leaning towards making the investment into a pair of leather boots, which I haven't done since I bought a pair from Topshop 5 years ago. They still look brand new - I think that's a sign.
These blue ankle boots from New Look are something that I wasn't expecting to like. I spotted these in an advert in the sidebar of a page I was looking at and thought "ohh... must look at these". Many years ago I owned a pair of pink timberland style boots and now I have a pair for dog walking which are more comfortable that I thought they would be. These would be great for weekends and dress down days in work, but I'm just not sure on the navy blue colour. I wear black jeans all the time and even I know that black jeans and navy blue boots wouldn't be a great combination.
Thanks to the memory function now on Facebook I have been reminded that I used to wear knee high boots quite a lot. The ones I used to own were flat black ones that had no real detail to them. I spotted these knee high boots on Reiker Boots. I'm a big fan of the riding boots look and would probably pair these with skinny jeans and a checked shirt.
